While Argentina is a country deeply marked by political polarization, one of the few areas of apparent consensus is the declared opposition to violence against women. However, a crucial question remains beyond political and public discourse: do these statements genuinely reflect the actual emotional engagement of men? Are their expressions of concern merely performative, or do they signify a deeper emotional connection to the issue? This paper presents the results of an experiment where participants were exposed to testimonies of domestic violence while observing the emotional responses on their faces.
