Longitudinal Study of Welfare in Uruguay (ELBU)

The ELBU is a longitudinal study that observes a cohort of first-grade public school children to analyze their well-being from a multidimensional perspective and evaluate their trajectories and the evolution of their environment in the long term as the group grows. It is one of the few longitudinal studies in Uruguay that allows us to observe a sample of young people from their childhood, making it a highly relevant source of information for research on well-being in the country. So far, four waves have been conducted (2004, 2006, 2011/12, and 2016/17).
