The Library of the Instituto de Economía has accompanied the institution since its creation, when it developed mainly from the personal collections of its main researchers. It is the first library specialized in economic research in Uruguay. For this reason, one of its main objectives is to preserve and disseminate the national economic bibliographical production.
In addition to the traditional purposes of a library, we have as another main objective to accompany the work of the IECON's researchers by giving advice on bibliographic information, access to different documents, evaluation of publications, correction of bibliographies, advice on bibliographic manager tools, visibility of publications and research data management, among others.
Working hours: Mondays to Fridays, 10 to17 hs.
