Research Group on Economics

This research group studies the historical evolution of the economics profession in Uruguay using different methodological approaches and focusing on several aspects:

• the development of economics education, the integration of economists into the labor market, and their involvement in public policy formulation and debate
• the participation of different actors with a focus on women, incorporating a gender perspective
• the study of experts' and academics' points of view on key economic topics and the factors that explain the similarities or differences in their perspectives by gender and across generations.
